OpenRoad Toyota Richmond, named Richmond Toyota at the time, became the first store of the OpenRoad Auto Group in 1978. Since then, our Toyota store has seen many changes. In 1985, Richmond Toyota relocated to the new Richmond Auto Mall, where it is still situated today. The new showroom and the centralized location within the Auto Mall saw an increasing number of visitors, further solidifying Richmond Toyota’s reputation as one of the leading Toyota stores in the region.In 2001, Richmond Toyota again expanded into new facilities, and re-launched as OpenRoad Toyota Richmond. This expansion facilitated a better and more comfortable car buying experience for guests, and this has been reflected in our achievements over the years. OpenRoad Toyota Richmond was awarded the #1 Toyota dealer in Canada in 2006 and the #1 Toyota dealer in BC in 2007. The achievements continued with accolades such as the Toyota Pinnacle Award in 2008 for combined sales and service CSI scores and another three Pinnacle Awards in 2009 for our Product Advisors, reflecting high degree of customer satisfaction, as well as a lifetime sales milestone of 55,000 new Toyota units in 2010.
